According to FreightWaves, Freight Hero has completed a $5 million seed funding round led by Field Ventures to expand its back-office solutions for freight brokers. The company operates on a per-load flat-fee model, offering brokers an alternative to traditional operational overhead for managing customer logistics.
Freight Hero's platform leverages artificial intelligence to automate broker workflows, with AI agents reportedly handling more than 90% of customer load interactions. The remaining processes that require human judgment are directed to specialized operators, creating a hybrid model designed to reduce operational costs while maintaining service quality.
The funding positions Freight Hero to scale its offerings within the logistics industry, where freight brokers increasingly seek technology-driven solutions to streamline administrative functions and improve margins in a competitive market.
